Editor’s Choice – “Annals of the Child Neurology Society” (ACNS)

We are pleased to announce that Annals of the Child Neurology Society (ACNS) was recently approved for listing in PubMed Central, the National Library of Medicine’s permanent archive of biomedical literature. All previously published ACNS articles can now be identified via a PubMed search. Inclusion in PubMed Central is a major milestone that is granted only after a thorough review of a journal’s publication record, editorial policies, and technical quality.

This issue’s Editor’s Choice selection is “Pediatric Neuropalliative Medicine Clinic: Five-Year Data Characterizing a Novel Model of Outpatient Care” by Lauren Treat and colleagues of Denver. They summarize the first 250 patients who were seen in their unique outpatient consultation neuropalliative care program. This is an outstanding, award-winning program, and the article is essential reading for anyone interested in outpatient palliative care.

This and other articles are freely available at Annals of the Child Neurology Society – Wiley Online Library. The website also provides information about article submission and manuscript preparation.

As part of the Annals family of journals, ACNS provides a venue for clinically-focused articles. We publish clinical and translational research articles, clinically relevant basic science articles, epidemiology studies, case series, teaching image vignettes, quality improvement articles, and commentaries on medicine or societal factors that affect the care of children with neurological disease. Feel free to contact the editor with pre-submission questions.
