The Child Neurology Society (CNS) congratulates Margie Ream, MD, PhD, on her election as Chair of the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS) Board of Directors. Dr. Ream began her two-year term on May 1, 2026.
Dr. Ream is an attending pediatric neurologist and Director of the Leukodystrophy Clinic at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She also serves as Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and directs the Child Neurology Residency Program. Her clinical and academic work focuses on general and neonatal neurology, as well as the care of children with leukodystrophies and other complex neurogenetic conditions.
A dedicated leader within the neurologic community, Dr. Ream has served on the UCNS Board of Directors since 2021 as the representative of the Child Neurology Educators Committee of the CNS. During her tenure, she has held several key leadership positions, including Treasurer from 2022–2024 and Vice Chair from 2024–2026.
