Vaccine policy remained a significant focus in August. President Trump issued an executive order establishing revised “Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations,” while HHS issued a Request for Information on federal vaccine recommendation categories and shared clinical decision-making. The developments could have implications for child neurologists and children whose vaccination decisions require individualized clinical assessment.
