2017 | 46th CNS Annual Meeting

The 46th Annual CNS Meeting in Kansas City set a new attendance record for meetings in the US, but fell just short of topping Vancouver’s #s in 2016 for biggest North American meeting. The most noteworthy “first” in KC was a huge milestone: the first ever Wednesday evening Legacy Reception: the special reception, following the Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall, featured wonderful talks by David Coulter (Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for Humanism in Medicine), Don Shields and Abe Chutorian (Roger & Mary Brumback Lifetime Achievement Award), and special recognition by friends and colleagues of Ken Swaiman for the animating vision and relentless drive he and a supporting cast, now largely gone, summoned founding the CNS and his primary responsiblity for launching the PCN, CNF and the journal Pediatric Neurology.
