Robert S. Rust, MD
Robert S. Rust, MD, MA retired in May 2016 as the Thomas E. Worrell, Jr. Professor of Epileptology and Neurology, Professor of Pediatrics, Professor at the Center for Biomedical Ethics and Humanities, and Training Director in Child Neurology at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Rust is known for a remarkable number and level of contributions. Appointed CNS Historian in 2009, Rob has summarized in stunning and insightful detail the career accomplishments of the Society’s major award recipients for clinical and scientific contributions to the profession from 1991 to 2015. Rob has served as a CNS board member (Councillor from the South, 2008-10), and was honored in 2007 as the recipient of the Hower Award and in 2015 as recipient of the CNS-PCN Blue Bird Circle Training Program Director Award.
