Douglas Nordli, Jr., MD

Douglas Nordli, Jr., MD is Chief of the Division of Pediatric Neurology, Co-Director of the Neurosciences Institute at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and Vice Chair of Neurology at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC).

Dr. Nordli previously served as the Lorna S. and James P. Langdon Chair of Pediatric Epilepsy and Division Chair of the Epilepsy Center at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, with an academic appointment as Professor of Clinical Neurology and Clinical Pediatrics at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Dr. Nordli earned his medical degree and completed pediatric and child neurology residency training at Columbia University, followed by a year as a postdoctoral clinical fellow in EEG and epilepsy at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. From 1990 – 1999 her served on faculty at ColumbiaPresbyterian as an instructor, assistant professor and Director of the Pediatric Epilepsy Section.

Dr. Nordli is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Clinical Neurophysiological Society, the American Epilepsy Society and the Child Neurology Society; he served on the CNS Board of Directors as Councillor for the Midwest from 2003-2005. He is also a board member of the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology, associate editor for the journals, Epileptic Disorders and Seizure, and co-editor of the 4th Edition of Pellock’s Pediatric Epilepsy.
