Committee Description
The International Affairs Committee promotes and advances the development of child neurology, as well as education and training, in low- and middle-income countries and regions. The committee is dedicated to supporting national meetings in resource-limited areas and assisting local and regional teams in building the infrastructure necessary for sustainable pediatric neurology education and training.
Key responsibilities of the committee include:

Providing educational and training support as needed to address regional gaps.

Overseeing the Bernard D’Souza Award, including soliciting, evaluating, and selecting annual award recipients.

Coordinating international medical rotations for D’Souza awardees in the United States or Canada and hosting the awardees at the CNS Annual Meeting.

Organizing international symposia and special interest group (SIG) sessions as part of the CNS Annual Meeting.

Collaborating with peer organizations on outreach initiatives, including International, European, Ibero-American, African, Pakistani, and other Asian child neurology societies.
Through these activities, the International Affairs Committee strives to strengthen global partnerships and advance the field of pediatric neurology worldwide.
