Invited applicants will be asked to submit their full application by August 5, 2019. Interviews and application review meetings will occur October 20-22, 2019 in conjunction with the CNS Annual Meeting. Funding for selected scholars will begin July 1, 2020.

The Career Development Award is intended for pediatric neurologists who seek a 3 year period of intensive, clinically relevant basic and/or patient-oriented research to prepare them for a K08, K23 or other career development award application. Selected scholars will proceed with their career development and research plan at their home institution with a local mentor and mentoring team. 

The award provides salary up to $85,000/year for a minimum of 75% effort per year plus fringe benefits and $38,000/year for research related expenses including travel for a total of 3 years.
