The Child Neurologist Career Development Program, the Child Neurology Society, and the Neurobiology of Disease in Children program are pleased to invite applications for the 2018 Minority Research Scholars Program.

This program awards travel scholarships to underrepresented minority early career individuals pursuing clinicallyrelevant basic or patient‐oriented research. Awardees have the opportunity to attend the CNCDP‐K12 annual scientific retreat, the Neurobiology of Disease in Children (NDC) symposium, and the Child Neurology Society Annual Meeting. Selected recipients receive $1000 in travel support and waived registration for all program events. All 2017 program events will all take place Friday, October 12, 2018 to Thursday, October 18, 2018, in Chicago, Illinois.

Accepted scholars will give a 5‐minute presentation on completed research or works‐in‐progress during the NDC Symposium Young Investigators breakfast on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. This year’s NDC Symposium topic is Tourette Syndrome. Scholars who conduct research related to Tourette Syndrome are especially encouraged to apply. Those whose research is related to other disciplines are also encouraged to apply and present their work.
