June 5, 2018, Deerfield, Illinois --- Applications are now available for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN) 2019-20 Faculty Innovation in Education Award and the 2019-20 Research Award on the ABPN website www.abpn.com

The ABPN Faculty Innovation in Education Award is intended to support the development of innovative education and/or evaluation projects that promote effective residency/fellowship training or lifelong learning of practicing psychiatrists and neurologists. Up to two psychiatry and two neurology recipients are selected each year. The duration of the award will normally be for two years with a maximum amount of funding of $50,000 per year or $100,000 total.

The 2019-20 application and accompanying materials are due to the ABPN by August 3, 2018. Recipients will be announced by November 1, 2018, with funding to start on January 1, 2019.

 The ABPN Research Award is intended to support research projects related to the mission of the ABPN, which is to develop and provide valid and reliable procedures for initial and continuing certification in psychiatry and neurology.  Up to two psychiatry and two neurology recipients are selected each year. The duration of the award will normally be for two years with a maximum amount of funding of $100,000 total.

The 2019-20 application and accompanying materials are due to the ABPN by August 10, 2018. Recipients will be announced by November 1, 2018, with funding to start on January 1, 2019.
