Dear Colleagues:

We invite all CNS members to submit proposals for the scientific program at the 46th Annual Meeting of the Child Neurology Society. The meeting will be held October 4-7, 2017 in Kansas City, MO. The deadline for submitting proposals is January 31, 2017.

Submit proposal by January 31

The Neurobiology of Disease Symposium for 2017 will address Leukodystrophies, and the Presidential Symposium will focus on “Practice Issues in Child Neurology.” Proposals addressing any aspect of child neurology will be considered; the following topic areas were those most frequently highlighted by members responding to the program survey in 2016:  autoimmune disorders, autism, clinical research, demyelinating diseases, epilepsy, headache, learning disorders, movement disorders, neurogenetics (when and how to investigate, including whole exome studies; inborn errors of metabolism), neuroimaging, neuromuscular disease, sleep and stroke.

To submit a proposal, copy and paste the following into your browser window: http://cns.nonprofitcms.org/a/Solicitations/Home/1110

Breakfast session may have up to three speakers, and symposia up to four, but shorter sessions with fewer speakers will be considered. Ideally, sessions should be accessible, succinct, and presented at a level suitable for practicing child neurologists and trainees, rather than super specialists. As always, CNS members are asked to present pro bono. Non-CNS members will be given a small honorarium with coach fare travel and up to three hotel nights paid for by the CNS. Breakfast seminars may include one non-CNS member, symposia may include two.

Sincerely,
Marc C. Patterson, MD Chair,
Scientific Program Planning Committee
